At a Glance
Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a High Reach Operator / Material Handler to join the Legrand Team in Fort Mill, SC.
Ensures the loading and unloading of materials within the warehouse. Stage materials for warehouse associates to fulfill orders correctly.
What Will You Do?
- Load and unload materials within a warehouse utilizing manual and powered industrial equipment.
- Stack merchandise onto pallets.
- Ensure all materials are labeled correctly.
- Prep material with shrink wrap and / or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to materials during transportation.
- Perform quality checks and complete documentation with results.
- Perform basic housekeeping activities such as stocking area is clean and organized, free from food, waste, trash and any hazard that may cause injury.
- Participate in annual full inventory count.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisors or management.
Qualifications
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience :
- 2 - 4 years of warehouse experience is preferred.
- 1 year forklift (high reach) experience required.
- Receiving experienced highly preferred.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities :
- Basic mathematical abilities.
- Able to perform repetitive job functions, hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling.
- Ability to stand the majority of the work day.
- Must be able to work flexible work schedule.
