PROJECT MANAGER
JOB OVERVIEW :
Plans, directs and coordinates the daily activities of a designated project to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Supervises staff, prepares and monitors the budget, and develops and submits grant proposals.
At the Direction of the Sr. Director Security / Support Services and Campus Security Leaders, evaluate the need for Security related equipment such as CCTV, Card Access, Alarms etc.
whether upon request of end user or security management.
Meet with Security vendors at project site for purposes of obtaining proposals. Review proposals and present to Security Leadership for approval.
Coordinate with support departments such as Engineering, Design & Construction and Environmental Health & Safety to ensure feasibility of security projects.
Follow projects through the financial approval stage and update Security leadership. Once approvals are obtained ensure vendors are notified and begin planning for implementation.
REQUIREMENTS : Associate's Degree
Associate's Degree
8 years of experience in the field
Certified Project Manager (CPM) or Associate in Project Management (APM) certification required
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
- Knowledge of General Project Management
- Knowledge of CCTV, Card Access and other pertinent Security Systems
- Knowledge of IT systems and protocols
- General Computer knowledge including Excel
