VERUS is looking for a self-motivated, organized and results-driven Electrical Design Engineer to join our close-knit team.

Our ideal candidate is analytical and detail-oriented, with an understanding of codes, standards, engineering best practices, and quality control.

He or she also understands the balance between technical excellence and practical engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities and attributes of the Electrical Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Design of low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and other electrical / control systems for industrial facilities.
• Perform electrical engineering tasks associated with projects, including design, drafting, engineering calculations, and cost estimates.
• Work under a Senior engineer on comprehensive electrical design packages including : wiring schematics, conduit and plot plans, grounding plans and details, single line diagrams, bill of materials, and hazardous area classification.
• Manage the electrical work package deliverables assigned to them, including coordinating with other disciplines and drafting teams.
• Work with discipline leads, PMs and other team members.
• Prioritize and set deadlines, while also being adaptable and flexible to changing needs.
• Competent with project documentation and procedures.
• Experienced and / or comfortable with working in the field.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• EIT preferred but not required
• 1-3 years’ applicable experience
• Solid foundation of design and drafting using AutoCAD
