About The Job :

The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring our facilities' optimal functionality and appearance.

This role requires a versatile individual who can handle various tasks, from janitorial duties to light electrical and plumbing work.

The ideal candidate will oversee vendor work, coordinate facility improvements, and manage groundskeeping activities.

Key Responsibilities :

Facility Maintenance : Conduct routine inspections and perform necessary repairs on building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and doors.

Grounds Keeping : Maintain the exterior of the property, including lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal as needed.

Light Electrical Work : Replace light bulbs, repair or replace outlets, and perform other minor electrical tasks.

Light Plumbing : Fix minor leaks, unclog drains, and perform basic plumbing repairs.

Drywall Repair : Patch and repair drywall, ensuring smooth and clean finishes.

Janitorial Duties : Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal, to ensure the cleanliness of all facilities.

Small Office Build-Outs : Assist with office layout changes, including partition installation and other minor construction tasks.

Vendor Coordination : Liaise with external vendors for specialized services or repairs outside the scope of in-house capabilities.

Ensure work is completed to standards and within budget.

Yard Organization : Organize and maintain outdoor storage areas, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.

Overseeing Work : Supervise any external work being done on facility grounds to ensure it aligns with company standards and safety regulations.

Order and Receipt Management : Order and confirm receipt of goods and supplies to ensure the company pays only for what is received and funds are expended properly and timely.

Additional Duties : Support courier services, set up conference and training rooms, and assist with miscellaneous assignments as directed by the department manager or supervisor to achieve departmental goals efficiently.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need :

  • Preferred 2-4 years’ prior experience.
  • Must have the ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of building and fire codes, OSHA, and ADA codes is required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.

Ability to work off of shop drawings

  • This position requires knowledge and awareness of site hazards. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must also possess a valid driver's license.
