In this role you will be responsible planning, scheduling, and coordinating meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents and conducive to their physical, mental and social well-being.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Life Enrichment Coordinator :

Below are some of the responsibilities that the Assisted Living Community Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for :

  • Scheduling of activities, both individual and group, implementing and delegating the implementation of programs and activities, monitoring, and evaluating the response of programs and activities to determine if the activities are meeting the needs of the residents, and making revisions as necessary.
  • Assessing the needs of the residents periodically through several policies.
  • Cultivating a safe and inclusive atmosphere for residents.
  • Find, train, manage and keep qualified, safe, and engaging volunteers to supplement activity programs and grow the activities you are able to provide.
  • Special projects and out of the ordinary responsibilities that may enrich residents' lives indirectly.
  • Decorate for special events and holidays.
  • Decorate and maintain activity boards for residents.
  • Maintain Volunteer Center Website with ongoing and new activities for Carillon Seniors.
  • Confirmation calls and emails for entertainment and volunteers.
  • Arrange a monthly calendar and newsletter for residents.
  • Distribute mail daily for residents.
  • Set up for and lead exercise.
  • Help with IL activities as needed and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain monthly birthdays and prayers on Touchtown website.
  • Research and implement new activity ideas for residents.
  • Communicate, exchange ideas and share information with the ISH Program Director and Staff (I'm Still Here).

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have :

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Six (6) months experience working with seniors in activities / life enrichment preferred

Many roles in the community may require that we ask about your vaccination status. This could include MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, flu and COVID-19 vaccine status.

Please note that all employees are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or apply for and receive an approved exemption, as a condition of employment.
