MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Adagio Health Inc is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant for its Erie, PA medical office .

  • AH operates 9 medical offices in western PA that also address social determinants of health such as food insecurity, behavioral health, & care navigation;
  • manages the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program in 5 PA counties; promotes tobacco / vaping prevention & cessation; oversees breast & cervical cancer screening & treatment programs across PA;

empowers local communities to address nutritional, reproductive, & behavioral health; positive relationship building; & life skills through an array of clinical & education programs.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Join our team at Adagio Health and experience the dynamic role of a Medical Assistant! Your day will start with a warm welcome to patients at the front desk, where you'll excel in phone triage, scheduling appointments, and making a positive first impression.

You'll be at the forefront of patient care, taking vitals, gathering patient histories, and performing venipuncture and injections.

Collaborate with our Nurse Practitioners to assist with procedures, ensuring top-notch patient care. Your role extends beyond our clinic walls as you facilitate referrals within and outside the organization.

At the end of the day, you'll ensure a seamless patient check-out process. We offer a $500 incentive, paid in two intervals over 90 days, making this an even more rewarding opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant or equivalent hospital program or a minimum of one year of direct patient care experience.
  • Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
  • Local travel required
