Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Medical Courier to become a valuable member of our team based in Baton Rouge, LA. The medical courier will work with the operations team to pick up client samples in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
Routine daily tasks include supply deliveries, sample pick-ups, maintaining specimen integrity, logging of samples and communication of delays.
Couriers will be provided courier cars and gas by Orion Laboratories and additional supplies needed to complete deliveries.
Pay and Benefits :
$14.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform routine specimen pick-up and delivery to laboratory according to established standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Call clients ahead of time to verify if pickups are needed.
- Check warehouse at the beginning of shift for supply deliveries to designated locations.
- Maintain company standards of customer service, timeliness, and attention to detail.
- Abide by all traffic ordinances, appropriate rates of speed, and defensive driving tactics.
- Follow CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in the respective policies.
- Ensure proper functions of courier car, including routine passes to verify no damages to the body or tires of the car. Report any problems or new issues to Operations Manager.
- Report any performance, compliance, or staffing-related issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
