MES Project Manager

Title : MES Project Manager

York is hiring! We are currently seeking an MES Project Manager that meets the below requirements for a contract opportunity with a client in the pharmaceutical industry.

Our client is looking to bring in a Sr. PM for a long term contract to help support an ongoing MES initiative. This role will be supporting the MES (Rockwell FTPC) initiative from start to finish.

This person should be well versed in MES deployments from a PM perspective and be able to have enough technical understanding to present to the business leaders as well as work side by side with the Technical PM on the IBM side.

Any experience on the infrastructure side or with cloud would be a plus.

Responsibilities :

• Lead end-to-end project management activities for SAP MES implementation, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline management, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project objectives, and establish key deliverables.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor and track progress against milestones and budgets.
• Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating communication and alignment.
• Conduct regular status meetings and prepare progress reports for management and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure successful system integration, testing, and deployment of SAP MES solutions.
• Support change management processes to drive user adoption and maximize benefits realization.
• Provide post-implementation support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience managing SAP MES projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards, with specific expertise in MES and SAP integration.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP and MES modules (e.g., SAP MII, SAP ME, SAP PP, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
