Position Summary The DCS is responsible for day-to-day operations of assigned clinical and social services staff. The DCS works directly with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and other Senior Leaders to ensure effective and safe therapeutic practices are always being provided.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Providing guidance to all clinicians, therapists, and social workers, regarding clinical programming and treatment expectations.
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines and expectations. Carries cases as needed to provide continuity of care.

uhsguest.com Qualifications Education : Advanced degree in a social science or health related field. Experience : A minimum of five years’ experience in a health care or social service industry preferred;
prior supervisory experience necessary. Age-Specific Competencies : Children, Adolescents, Adults & Geriatrics Licensure / Certification : Appropriate state licensure in mental health.
Preference will be given to candidates holding a LCSW licensure or greater. CPI Certified Other : Supervisory skills; advanced clinical knowledge of best practices in the treatment of adults, children / adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with severe emotional disturbances, psychiatric illnesses, chemical dependency, and addictions as well as dual diagnosis.
- Knowledge of working with families; basic fiscal management skills; thorough familiarity with psychiatric healthcare terminology;
- excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in presentations for marketing purposes; creativity;
- flexibility; time management and organizational skills; skills in data collection and analysis, interpretation, application, and evaluation;
strategic planning skills; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; teaching or training skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel, in work capacity.
Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential. HIPAA : Has access to all PHI necessary to perform job functions of managing and directing departments and assuring compliance with standards of care.
