This Construction Superintendent directs and controls all construction projects of the organization to ensure their completion according to plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and contractual commitments.

The Construction Superintendent ensures compliance with specifications and contract terms and schedules and participates in government inspections.

The ability to complete rehab and capital projects schedules on time and on budget is important to meeting the company’s financial goals.

This position must be based in either the Portland or Denver area.

Qualifications

  • Two to five years’ experience as a construction professional.
  • Two to five years’ experience in the multi-family housing industry preferred.
  • Solution oriented with high level reasoning, creativity, and strategic thinking ability.
  • High proficiency in technical skills for rehabs and deferred maintenance projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify potential for greatest asset improvement.
  • Demonstrated financial and budgeting acumen.

Additional Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics Required :

  • Maintain and ensure safety standards.
  • Review and recommend equipment for purchase.
  • Provides detailed information / reports to management as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Excellent organizing and prioritizing skills.
  • Able to work with diverse employee population.
  • Excellent computer and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Talent for maintaining composure in difficult conversations.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 1 to 50 lbs., and 50 to 75 lbs. or more with assistance.
  • Occasional exposure to paint fumes, solvents, adhesives, etc.
  • Constant need to utilize personal transportation to travel to worksites. Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage.
  • Some travel. Overnight stays may be required.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $62,000-$72,000 annually
  • Accrues 10 days Paid time off per year
  • 10 Paid Holidays and 2 Paid Personal Days per year
  • Hours of Paid Sick Time based on location
