MainResponsibilities :

• Making surevehicles are maintained and safe for ourcustomers
• Using Penske's tools andtechnologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basicvehicle diagnostics
• Doing preventativemaintenance repairs-like replacing or rotating tires-and completingvehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electricalsystem repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and dieselengine vehicles
• Partnering with your managerto learn new skills using Penske's technician training and hands-oncoaching
• Working on other projects and tasksas assigned by supervisor

Qualifications :

• Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technicalcertification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or dieselrepair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver'slicense
• The ability to solve problems andcomfort using tools
• Excellent customerservice skills and communication skills
• Theability to work well as part of a team andoutside
• Basic computerskills
• The associate will be required tounderstand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines,rules, regulations, or other information established by Penskemanagement
• The associate must be able toperform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety andmaintenance policies; including but not limited to the correctselection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, andestablished best safety practice.
• Regular,predictable, full attendance is an essential function of thejob
• As this position requires driving Penskeand customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires acurrent driver qualification file to be maintained as required bythe role.

The driver qualification file includes : an annual motorvehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical,and Safety Performance History records request from prior employersin the last 3 years.

Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT DrugScreening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMCSAClearinghouse review.

Willingness to work therequired schedule, work at the specific location required, completePenske employment application, submit to a background screening (toinclude criminal checks, past employment and education), theability to pass a drug screen and physical as required by theDepartment of Transportation, and potential travel within a neargeography for training are required

• The associatemust be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders andelevated working platforms.
• The associatemust be able to safely work in all weatherconditions.
• Given the frequent movement oflarge trucks through the workplace, the associate must be able tosee and hear in order to safely navigate the workenvironment.
• The associate must be able toregularly lift and / or move up to 50lbs / 23kg and occasionally liftand / or move up to 100lbs / 45kg.
