The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Manager for the MedStar Health - Georgetown University (Baltimore) Psychiatry residency provides administrative leadership and direction for medical education and faculty affairs.
In coordination with the central GME team, this position helps provide oversight and management of resident recruitment, program accreditation, budgeting, operational activity, and program growth / improvements.
It also includes management of faculty academic appointments and promotions, along with faculty development activities. Reports directly to the Residency Program Director and the Director, GME.

Primary Duties :
Plans and directs the administrative components of the MedStar Health - Georgetown University (Baltimore) Psychiatry residency.
This includes accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies and organizations such as the Accreditation College for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Ensures compliance with the nationally accepted accreditation standards and requirements. Actively participates in all education related committees to recommend policies and provide leadership in all phases of the development and evaluation of medical education.
Manages Psychiatry student clerkships for the Baltimore region. Plans and coordinates all didactic schedules and activities.
Responsible for maintaining CME credit as applicable. Available to attend these activities for continuity of planning and implementation.
Coordinates activities with MedStar GME to ensure effective operation and dissemination of all information related to the medical education programs.
Manages all outside rotations, to include Program Letters of Agreement (PLAs) with outside institutions. Maintains communication and contact information so the program and all sites of training can be updated and in compliance with all regulations.
Administers evaluation process utilizing New Innovations and maintaining evaluation records to include final summative assessments.
In consultation with the Program Directors, assists in reviewing case logs and coordinating semiannual reviews.
In conjunction with Program Director, coordinates Program Evaluation Committee meetings and conducts an Annual Program Evaluation (APE).
Helps develop and monitor written plan of action resulting from APE. Maintains resident schedules in New Innovations to ensure an accurate FTE count for the Medicare cost report.
With Program Director, monitors duty hour logs in New Innovations to ensure compliance with requirements.
Maintains program and alumni files and handles verification requests. Staff all clinical competency / education committees.
Manages interview and recruitment season. Manages all special events, including graduation, residency recruitment fairs, program retreats / teambuilding activities and departmental orientation programs.
