Description

LSSI is hiring a full time Assistant Property Manager , Monday through Friday.Under supervision of the building, assists with management of the daily operations of two senior apartment buildings serving older adults / or disabled persons, who meet residency requirements of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. Essential Functions :

  • Able to assume responsibilities of Manager, when manager is absent.
  • Assist with rent collection, reporting functions, apartment leasing, marketing and following policies and procedures established by HUD and LSSI.
  • Responsible for recertification of all residents, including annual apartment inspections, meeting REAC requirements.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate preparation and submission of necessary reports, including, but not limited to, re-certifications vacancy loss claims.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and / or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.

Position Qualifications :

  • Minimum Associate's Degree with 1-2 years of management / supervisory experience or High School Diploma / Equivalent with 3-5 years of management / supervisory experience.
  • Minimum Leasing License or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Must possess the Certified Occupancy Specialist Designation (COS) or willingness to obtain within 2 years of hire.
  • Minimum number of years management / supervisory experience is dependent on education level.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, relate to others, make decisions, direct / control plan work, communicate in writing and verbally.
  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation and pc / computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage bodily injury and property damage.
  • Valid state driver's license in good standing and access to reliable transportation.
