We believe that everyone should feel confident when purchasing our products no matter your hair type, style, or budget. The Role Kitsch is looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Regulatory Compliance Specialist to become an integral part of our enthusiastic Quality team.

The role is expected to work closely with our team of product development, production, purchasing, marketing, sales and vendors to conduct product evaluation and specify regulatory compliance requirements, ensure current and new products comply with regulatory requirements in all sales markets.

This role is also responsible for specifying normative test methods, compliance of product labeling, identifying non-conformity issues and creating compliance management plans and quality control plans for existing and new products that reflect the Kitsch brand look and match our target market and end-user requirements.

The ideal candidate is analytical, knowledgeable, innovative, energetic, systematic, and preferably experienced in global cosmetic laws and regulations across Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Job responsibilities and Key Result Areas : Gather inputs from a variety of internal stakeholders and external resources to determine feature / functionality, materials, labels and technology to fulfill regulatory compliance requirements in our target markets for new and current products.

Research, analyze, and understand current and future market requirements, issues and emerging regulatory requirements and guidance.

Ensure products are tested in accordance with target market standards. Monitor product safety and compliance in target markets.

Leads regulatory cross functional projects to ensure compliance to new, revised or emerging global laws and regulations across all business channels.

Create market introduction regulatory compliance strategies for current and new products. Produce and maintain required compliance certificates, test reports and other documentation to show conformance to regulatory requirements.

Support in supplier due diligence reviews including assessment of potential suppliers. Maintain active communication with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction.

Performs other related duties as may be assigned. ABOUT YOU Bachelor of Science Degree in Regulatory Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Cosmetic Science, Quality Assurance, Cosmetic Safety, Biology, Chemistry, International Cosmetic law, or related field, or equivalent industry experience required.

At least 3+ years of experience in personal care, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics (PCPC) industry in regulatory compliance, or in a regulatory affairs capacity.

Strong working knowledge and experience of PCPC industries international regulations A working knowledge of trade agreements, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and related trade activities in APAC, EMEA, LATAM and NA.

Knowledgeable in risk assessment, cosmetics industry ingredients and project management. Demonstrative understanding of Code of Federal Regulations, Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), California Proposition 65, and labeling statutes and regulations and other applicable regulations governing the cosmetics industry.

Excellent organizational communication skills (both written and verbal), interpersonal and team interaction skills. Highly motivated, collaborative, self-directed and self-starter team player.
