A large Non Profit organization is on the lookout for a Staff Accountant to join our team located in Newark, New Jersey. As a Staff Accountant, your role will involve managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
This role is crucial to maintaining the financial health and transparency of our operations. Ideal candidate will have 3 + years of experience as a staff accountant.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure all financial records are accurately maintained, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Maintain the General Ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and post Journal Entries to record financial transactions.
- Carry out Month End Close procedures to finalize financial records for the month.
- Utilize financial systems to manage financial data.
- Resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in financial records.
- Ensure all financial data is prepared and ready for audits.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Continually review and improve accounting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Non-Profit background
- 3 + years of experience
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
