About the Role

We are seeking a consultative and results-driven sales professional, with experience selling data as a service or solutions as a service, to spearhead our efforts in selling The Information's corporate access and data solutions in the major market enterprise technology sector, as well as managing The Information's financial services growth business.

The Information's corporate and enterprise sales business is disrupting the way that companies receive content, and our coverage is more valuable than ever, as companies around the world crave news and data about technology and the AI revolution. The Information is renowned for its leading coverage of both subjects, making this role a very unique media sales opportunity at this incredible moment. Few news organizations have the bench of in-depth reporting and unique data to serve customers so deeply in the moment. And clients across the landscape are noticing.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong hunter mentality, capable of generating new business opportunities while maintaining existing relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Own named accounts across Enterprise Technology and Financial Services verticals.
  • Identify and pursue new corporate and enterprise clients for The Information's subscription and data services.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans for your named accounts, to achieve sales targets. This includes understanding your prospects' competitive landscape, and staying up to date on emerging technologies and trends.
  • Present The Information's value proposition effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Navigate complex sales conversations and leveraging spheres of influence across key accounts.
  • Accept and incorporate feedback to continuously improve sales strategies and personal performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the tech or media industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling subscription services, data as a service, or software as a service.
  • Experience working with a CRM, Salesforce preferred.
  • Ability to originate new business, ideally in the enterprise technology space.
  • Firm understanding of the enterprise technology space and its dynamics.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to operate autonomously and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Hunter mentality with a passion for generating new business opportunities, while driving sales and achieving targets.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and client needs.

  • Salary Range : $130,000 to $150,000 USD Annually + Commission + Benefits

    The salary range posted is based on the company's good faith belief at the time of the posting. Actual compensation may vary above or below this range based on factors such as location, work experience, and skill level.
