Position Summary
Mertegy Solutions / Quadlogic Controls is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide technical support to clients across New York City.
This is an entry-level position and training will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Commission new installations of meters and metering systems.
- Coordinate with the data center to verify remote reading capabilities of systems.
- Instruct electricians on proper installation of all products.
- Quickly diagnose installation errors and meter defects.
- Determine the proper course of action when an improperly installed, damaged, or defective meter is identified.
- Provide detailed service reports into the reporting system
- Coordinate with engineers, repair technicians, and production staff to track defects and develop solutions to recurring problems.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with clients and customers including contractors, maintenance staff, property managers, and tenants.
Skills :
- Required - Valid NY Driver's license & Good Standing with Zipcar
- Required - OSHA 30 + SST 10
- Required - Critical thinking and Troubleshooting skills
- Required - Organized and professional exceptional Customer Service Skills
- Hands-on experience testing and repairing electrical devices or electrical installations.
- Ability to use a voltmeter and basic hand tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Education / Experience :
- Required - At least one year of experience in the field.
- Required - Technical associates degree or Basic field experience in electric work, electronics repair, or similar field.
- Preferred - Leadership and Project Management Experience
- Preferred - Experience with software diagnostics and serial communication terminals.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
