JOBDESCRIPTION
- UseVectorworks or Autodesk CAD software to perform moderate to complexdesign tasks equipment / process layout site layout pipe routing piperack layout isometrics 3D Modeling and standard detaildevelopment
- Createassembly and construction drawings with information sourced fromPFDs P&IDs engineering calculations vendor information and ASME& ANSIspecifications
- Performsolid modeling of equipment plant assemblies and piping systems toinclude vessels tanks heat exchangers and otherequipment
- Providetechnical support clarification and interpretation of task code andstandards requirements for all piping design and draftingactivities
- Createdetailed design and material purchasesdocuments
- Providetechnical support during construction and startup of the project toensure correctinstallation
- Workindependently and within a team with a minimum level ofsupervision.
- Monitorprogress on project and provide input into areas of concern anddirection or redirection to enhance achievement of projectschedules productivity goals budgets andquality
- Coordinateproject schedules and needs with team members and projectmanagers

ESSENTIALQUALIFICATIONS
- Proficientwith Vectorworks and / or AutoDesk CADsoftware
- Proficientwith MS OfficeSoftware
- Knowledgeof specifying / designing process vessels FRP dual laminate tanksfiberglass tanks heat exchangers structural steel and processpiping
- Experienceworking with and interpreting process flow diagrams (PFDs) andpiping and instrumentation diagrams(P&IDs)
- Strongaptitude for learning and problemsolvingskills.
DESIREDQUALIFICATIONS
- CertifiedVectorworks Professional or equivalentcertification
- Understandingof piping design related codes standards andspecifications
- Workingknowledge in process piping design in chemical processing orsimilar industrial markets sufficient to understand plant specificequipment (i.
e. pumps valves reactors columns tanks pipe supportsthermoplasticsetc.)
- Professionalregistration is a plus but not required (obtain registration withinfirst year of employment if not acquired uponhire)
- EngineeringDegree (BS Mechanical Engineering) aplus
MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS
- Minimumof Five (5) years of experience as a Mechanicalengineer
- AssociateEngineering Technology degree and / or Computer Drafting and Designdegree
- Experiencewith 3D modeling of industrial equipment andsystems
- Abilityto travel domestically or internationally to offices vendor sitesprojectsites
- Extensivetravel may be required (90% of the year) once the plant breaksground at constructionsite
