Quality Engineering Manager

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead quality assurance initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry standards and continuous improvement of processes.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for high-quality products and will be responsible for implementing and managing key quality processes including PPAP, APQP, IATF standards, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Quality Management System : Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in alignment with IATF 16949 standards.
• PPAP and APQP : Oversee the development and submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation and ensure robust Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new product launches.
• Continuous Improvement : Lead Six Sigma projects to identify and eliminate defects, reduce variation, and improve overall quality in manufacturing processes.
• Supplier Quality Assurance : Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and conduct regular audits and assessments to drive supplier performance.
• Training and Development : Train and mentor team members on quality standards, tools, and techniques to foster a culture of quality within the organization.
• Root Cause Analysis : Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective implementation.
• Customer Liaison : Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, providing timely feedback and resolution to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Data Analysis and Reporting : Monitor key quality metrics, analyze data, and prepare reports to communicate quality performance to senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within the automotive manufacturing industry, preferably in a Tier 1 supplier environment.
• Certifications : Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, IATF 16949, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external customers.
