The Role :
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java Developer who will be responsible for designing and architecting high-performance Java-based enterprise systems.
They work closely with business stakeholders' software developers and IT teams to create scalable secure and efficient solutions.
This role involves defining architecture guidelines ensuring adherence to best practices and making technology decisions to align with long-term business objectives.
Location : Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid- -3 days onsite from client location)
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Responsibilities
- Proficiency in Java 17 with experience in Writing REST API, backend logic (batch jobs / Kafka processors) using spring boot
- Exposure to Non-Relational DB like MongoDB.
- Hands on experience on kafka is must
- Proficient in using and adopting CICD Devops tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy / Harness etc.
- Candidate should be able to work as individual contributor
- Candidate should have exposure in microservice applications
- Associate should have good analytical skills, should be able to debug the application and understand the concepts.
Required Skills :
- Minimum 8+ years of experience as Spring boot Java microservice software developer
- Hands on knowledge on kafka, mongo DB is must
- Familiarity with Agile / Jira / Scrums is mandatory
- Candidate should have basic experience in banking and financial domain.
- Candidate should have experience in different phases of project execution like requirement gathering, analysis, design, unit testing, test support.
