Oversees equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and expansions. Troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and modifies automotive manufacturing and test equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability.

Qualifications - External

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 2 years of experience in automation / PLC controls, mechanical and electronic systems OR
• High school diploma / GED and 2 years technical experience PLUS 2 years of experience in automation / PLC controls, mechanical, and electronic systems (4 years total experience)

Must be a highly flexible individual that can adjust to changes quickly. Must be willing to work overtime and holidays as needed

• Ability to work in cross functional teams.
• Successful candidates must pass a hands-on electrical troubleshooting proficiency test working with live current.

Preferred 3+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience to include :

• Experience interfacing with various PLC programming languages, Siemens highly preferred.
• Experience maintaining and modifying electrical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems, 24v to 480v.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated robotics systems.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting pneumatic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and replacing Variable Frequency Drives.
• Experience interpreting technical schematics : ladder logic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fluid, etc.
