To succeed in this role, you must have a B.Tech in Civil Engineering with practical experience in the delivery of ports and marine engineering solutions.

An M.Tech degree in Ports and Marine Engineering or a higher academic qualification would be advantageous, along with a track record of delivering marine structures design and other allied structures.

You will join our Tunnel & Underground Structures department

As a Senior Engineer with Marine Engineering Specialization your key tasks and responsibilities will include :

• Carrying out the design of retaining walls, sheet piles, and other relevant structures for ports and marine projects
• Reviewing the work of Engineers and CAD technicians / modelers in the project team
• Undertaking technical due diligence and maintaining quality of deliverables
• Overseeing and troubleshooting the work of Marine structures design, guiding Assistant Engineers / Design Engineers in carrying out the design and preparation of the drawings and BIM models
• Coordination with the project manager and global design teams for project planning / preparation of work schedules and work breakdown structure
• Delivering projects on agreed quality, time, and budget
• Taking initiatives to develop Assistant Engineers / Design engineers and improve the quality of delivery of the team as a whole
• Mentoring and supervising Assistant Engineers / Design Engineers and providing inputs to Team Lead / Project Manager / Technical Manager for the continued development of the staff in the team.

For this role, we believe your starting point is :

• More than 4 years of experience in Marine Structures design . Hands-on experience working with Eurocodes / other international codes is essential
• BE / B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from an institute of repute. ME / M. Tech in Marine / Structural Engineering is preferred
• Experience in carrying out detailed design of marine structures taking into account soil structure interaction aspects is essential
• Experience in preparation of design reports and specifications pertaining to Marine structures
• Preference will be given to candidates having good scripting and coding skills in Python / VB / Macros
• Hands-on experience in using the design software LUSAS / MIDAS / Sofistik is prerequisite
• Professional English language skills (written and verbal) are essential
• Ability to work well in a team and coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of projects
• A desire to develop your career to enable other team members to deliver effective and accurate design and analysis services for our clients.
