Marketing Copywriter

The Marketing & Communications team serves as San Francisco Health Plan's (SFHP) internal marketing agency. We are responsible for developing all state-mandated member and provider communications for the Medi-Cal and Healthy Workers HMO programs, as well as several city-run programs.

We work collaboratively with all areas of SFHP to develop member, provider, and internal employee communications and collateral.

We are looking for a Marketing Copywriter who can develop internal and external communications in a mission-driven organization committed to universal health coverage.

Please note - SFHP supports a hybrid work environment and the role will be expected to be on-site a minimum of 4 days per month, in addition to taking part in community-based engagement activities.

Salary range : $94,000 - $104,000

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Content & Editing

• Develop and manage copy for various channels such as web, social media, videos, print, and more.
• Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy.
• Provide feedback, copy edits, and punch-ups to existing content drafts.
• Strive to make content development a collaborative process, revising copy based on feedback and direction.
• Conduct thorough research and interviews to generate content whether internally or out in the community.
• Suggest new ways to promote our brand to reach our diverse audiences.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Bachelor's degree in copywriting, English, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of copywriting experience. Marketing experience a plus.
• A creative and strong portfolio of work with an emphasis on digital channels.
• An understanding of SEO best practices.
• A love for proofreading and editing.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong research and interviewing skills.
• The capacity to work independently, collaboratively, and out in the San Francisco community.
• Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy.
• Ability to create content that effectively communicates with people across all cultures, races, ethnicities, and education levels.
• Health care experience and experience with multilingual production is a plus!
