Our client, an established and well-respected Trenton based non-profit organization is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team.
Salary / Hourly Rate :
$55,000 $60,000
Position Overview :
The Bookkeeper will be the lead and go-to for the day-to-day accounting and finance department. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for full cycle AR, AP, and any duties the Executive Director requests be handled.
A passion for the local community and non-profit is a huge plus.
Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper :
- Accounts Payable including : purchase orders, and vendor account management
- Accounts Receivable : monthly invoices, and handling vendor records
- Bank reconciliation for depository accounts
- Preparing monthly financial statements and reports
- Assist with the annual budget and auditing process
- Reconciliations : balance sheets, and journal entries
- Set up new vendor accounts
- Assisting in Payroll processing
Qualifications for the Bookkeeper :
- Hands on experience with accounting software
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, v-look ups)
- Team player with strong analytical skills
- Thrives in a collaborative environment
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner independent from supervisors
Education Requirements :
- Associates degree and / or relative experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus
