Job Details
Responsibilities :
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
- Create, maintain, and update accurate project schedules and 3-week look ahead.
- Follow company policies and procedures and model our company culture.
- Maintain a safe work environment, per OSHA standards, and conduct safety meetings on-site.
- Recognize and resolve on-site challenges and issues.
- Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
- Communicate with project team regarding Drawings, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
- Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
- Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
- Maintain daily logs of activities on the job site.
- Become proficient in, and utilize AutoDesk.
- Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
- Walk project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
- Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
- Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors where required.
- Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
- Ensure proper signage is posted on-site.
- Perform job progress and punch list identification and completion.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma (any additional experience a plus)
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent supervising project teams
- Prior experience with commercial tenant improvements (banking and retail project experience strongly preferred)
- A proven track record of successful budgeting, negotiating, and scheduling
- Must be able to read and interpret the project design and plans correctly
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Programs, project management software (Autodesk or similar), & scheduling software (MS Project or similar)
