Job Description

The , located at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright-Patterson AFB, is looking for a motivated and talented individual to serve as a Research Engineer.

The successful candidate will have graduated from a major university or college with Master’s or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a 3.

0 GPA or higher. The candidate must be a self-sufficient and an independent professional.

Essential Job Responsibilities

The Research Engineer will be a key member of the research staff supporting ANT Center faculty and graduate students to support and drive the software and tooling of the Center’s cutting-edge research and development projects.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Design, develop, and test computer software in support of research requirements
  • Work with faculty, students and research engineers to develop new algorithms and tooling that support the various autonomy and advanced navigation research projects
  • Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
  • Ability to work in-person and remote

Must be U.S. Citizen, with active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance
