Roles and Responsibilities :

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects across various sectors, including but not limited to :
• Commercial construction projects
• Residential construction projects
• Industrial construction projects
• Institutional construction projects
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to develop comprehensive project cost estimates and proposals.
• Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate pricing, and make recommendations to project management.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions to ensure cost estimates are competitive and accurate.
• Provide support to project managers and engineers during the pre-construction phase, offering insights and recommendations based on cost estimates.
• Participate in project meetings and discussions to provide expertise on cost-related matters and assist in value engineering efforts.

Candidate Skills :

• Experience in estimating a variety of construction projects across different sectors, with a demonstrated ability to accurately estimate project costs.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex project specifications and drawings.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools, with a demonstrated ability to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and best practices related to various construction sectors.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards applicable to construction projects.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in construction estimating, with a track record of successfully delivering accurate estimates on time and within budget.
• Certification or training in estimating software / tools is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
