A leading Life Insurance company is looking to hire a talented Senior Counsel to cover Privacy and Artificial Intelligence for the firm.
This is a role that will provide exposure to senior management and various different business lines, to oversee day-to-day legal and compliance matters as it relates to advising on interactions with state and federal regulations in the ever-changing world of AI and technology.
This is a fully remote role and can sit out of any location across the US.
The role will primarily be responsible for assessing risk of new AI vendors and tools in their interaction with state and federal regulations, and keeping up to-speed with the latest on-goings in Artificial Intelligence to be able to properly advise the necessary stakeholders.
It will interact with many different business lines, including the procurement and engineering teams to advise on privacy & AI initiatives and decisions.
The firm is ideally looking for candidates who are subject-matter experts in privacy law, with at least 5+ years of prior experience either in-house or at a private practice law firm.
Previous experience in advising life insurance or financial services clients is a huge plus, but the main requirement will be a very solid understanding of privacy law and AI expertise.
Responsibilities :
- Advising, supervising, and monitoring privacy regulations at the state and federal level
- Significant tracking of regulatory and legislative on-goings
- Interacting with various clients and senior management on various legal issues related to the changing-industry of Artificial Intelligence and technology
- Assessing the risk of new AI vendors and tools based off interactions with state and federal regulations
Qualifications :
- At least 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, either in-house or at a private practice law firm
- Subject matter-expertise in privacy law; interest and knowledge in Artificial Intelligence necessary as well
- Prior experience in advising life insurance or financial services clients on privacy-related legal matters
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running from Day 1
- Must be barred by the state in which you reside
