JobDescription :
This position isresponsible for moving loading unloading and handling all inboundand inhouse materials (Work in progress / WIP).
The primaryobjective is to ensure that all product materials are properlyreceived prepared and staged for WIP departments to maximizemanufacturing throughput and efficiency.
The role also involvesassisting with outbound shipments as needed with a CDL licensebeing a plus due to the potential requirement of operating companyvehicles.
Key duties include unloading inbound trucks unpackingreceived items verifying received quantities against purchaseorders for accuracy and comparing receivers with purchase orders orinvoices.
Additionally the position involves identifying andreporting nonconforming goods verifying and delivering MaterialTest Reports to QA for approval and marking moving and staging allproduction materials.
Proficiency in transferring and controllingproduct identification marks understanding purchase orders andsuppliers and operating forklifts cranes and other materialhandling equipment is essential.
Maintaining housekeeping andcleanliness in receiving areas working efficiently and safelymaking accurate decisions and ensuring low defect rates are crucialaspects of this role.
Reliable and punctual attendance along with apositive and cooperative attitude isexpected.
Requirements :
Thisposition demands a strong desire to work in a heavy manufacturingenvironment. Routine heavy lifting and the ability to work withoutsignificant supervision is required.
Material handling packing andshipping / receiving experience is preferred. The position requires aclassappropriate level of experience.
A high school vocationalschool diploma or equivalent is desirable. Experience in an ISO9000 environment is helpful. A working knowledge of shop practicesis highly encouraged.
