How You'll Perform the Role

This position is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, leadership, and management of the manufacturing plant.

Roles and responsibilities include :

• Serves as the second-in-command to the Plant Manager, supporting in the overall management and operations of the plant.
• Lead and manage a team of operations supervisors, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency in production processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance, improve productivity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership in setting and achieving operational KPIs and targets, including safety, quality, production efficiency, and cost control.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and high performance within the plant.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and innovation in plant operations.
• Act as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager, providing insights, recommendations, and support in driving the plant's overall success.

What We Need From You

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging industry.
• Proven track record of leadership and people management, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive operational improvements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
• Strategic foresight and ability to think long-term, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities in the industry.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence, cost reduction, and process optimization.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
