The Fixed Operations Manager oversees all service, parts, and customer support operations to ensure customer satisfaction and department profitability.
This role is ideal for a results-oriented leader with a passion for motorcycles and the Harley-Davidson brand and the ability to drive performance, implement efficient processes, and foster a customer-focused environment.
Requirements
- Experience : 3+ years in a Harley-Davidson dealership Parts & Service Manager or Fixed Operations Manager role.
- Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of service and parts operations, including familiarity with Harley-Davidson models, systems, and maintenance requirements.
- Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to meet department and company objectives.
- Customer-Focused : Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a demonstrated ability to resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively.
- Analytical and Financial Acumen : Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and using performance metrics to drive operational decisions.
- Systems Proficiency : Familiarity with Harley-Davidson dealership management software (DMS) and service management tools.
- Professional References : A minimum of 3 to 6 professional references.
- Solid Work History : Staying power in previous roles is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management : Recruit, train, and manage service and parts teams, ensuring team members meet or exceed performance and customer service standards.
- Customer Service : Cultivate a customer-first atmosphere in all service interactions, maintaining a positive dealership reputation and fostering loyalty within the Harley-Davidson community.
- Process Development and Efficiency : Implement and refine service and parts processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality service standards.
- Performance Monitoring : Set, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for service and parts departments, aligning with dealership targets.
- Inventory Management : Oversee parts inventory to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and maximize parts availability.
- Financial Management : Manage department budgets, monitor expenses, and maximize profitability through effective pricing, parts sales, and service strategies.
- Vendor Relations : Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective parts and accessories sourcing.
