About the Role
A New York-based film production company is casting for a key role in an action crime drama series based on true events from the 1980s.
The production seeks a talented actor to portray a significant historical figure in Jamaica's criminal history. This dramatic role requires capturing the complex personality of a notorious character across different identities and time periods.
Responsibilities :
- Portray the lead character across multiple aliases and time periods
- Maintain authentic Jamaican accent and mannerisms
- Participate in scheduled filming sessions in New York
- Attend costume fittings and makeup sessions
- Collaborate with directors and cast members
Requirements
- Jamaican heritage or authentic ability to portray Jamaican character
- 3-5 years of professional acting experience
- Strong command of Jamaican patois and accent work
- Physical ability to perform in action sequences
- Experience in period piece productions is a plus
- Ability to portray different personas convincingly
- Strong emotional range and dramatic capabilities
