Description :

Aerotek is looking for Chemical Operators in the West Haven, CT area for an immediate job opening. These people will be responsible for hands-on production

operations, plant maintenance and in-process quality control.

Daily tasks may include :

• Work from written procedures to process, purify, and chemically fabricate products and their compounds through a sequence of batch operations
• Operate equipment, including reactors, tanks, pumps, mixers, pH meters, level meters, flow meters, valves, and hoses used in the manufacture of said products
• Locate materials in the warehouse and transport to manufacturing areas using a forklift as needed
• Package, mark, and label Hazardous Waste containers
• Operate equipment and follow procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, OHSA'S 18001 standards

Skills & Qualifications :

• Previous chemical related work experience highly preferred
• Strong technical aptitude
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Minimum High School Education or GED Equivalent
