Responsibilities :
- Respond to all inquiries, insurance denials, and other correspondence in an efficient and timely manner.
- Responsible for the submission of timely appeals, re-determinations, and reconsideration according to payer guidelines.
- Provides feedback to clients for improvement.
- Reviews and submits primary EOB to the secondary and tertiary payer for processing.
- Monitors insurance accounts receivable and follows up on 30, 60, 90, and 121+ aged claims.
- Researches and resolves all recoupment and refund requests.
- Reports aging status to Billing Manager.
- Follow company policies and procedures as well as state and federal guidelines.
Education / Training :
- CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- High school diploma or GED required.
Requirements :
- 1-2 years previous medical billing or revenue cycle management experience.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
