The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the future financial strategy for one of our portfolio companies .
As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, tracking and modeling.
The CFO will work closely with the CEO and executive team to define and implement a strategic vision aligned with our board’s objectives.
We are looking for a data-driven team member who can lead us through our next stage of growth.
What You’ll Do : Financial Leadership
Financial Leadership
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the finance and accounting organization.
- Fundraising and Investor Relations.
- Provide strategic guidance around capital financing including corporate fundraising strategy and managing relationships with partners and investors.
- Interact with the Board of Directors of potential investors.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Set and achieve revenue targets and relevant goals, develop tools to provide critical information to the leadership team and relevant stakeholders.
- Regularly review and analyze revenue metrics to proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
- Oversee budgeting to guide financial strategy and staffing needs across departments.
Cash Flow Management
Oversee treasury and Cash Management by monitoring and managing cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Develop comprehensive financial analyses, summaries, and reports to track and support operational progress.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making. Evaluate investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Present financial results to the executive team and board of directors.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Implement effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
About You :
- 10+ year of experience in accounting or finance
- Prior experience leading a finance team in a venture-backed, high-growth start-up.
- Background or experience in Ecommerce, Fashion or Retail strongly preferred.
- Expert experience with financial analysis and forecasting, including experience with financial modeling, preparing statistical reports and making recommendations based on analysis and research.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with investors, venture capitalists, and financial institutions.
- Proven track record of working with cross-functional partners to use the finance team to define metrics, set goals, track progress, and drive operational improvements.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of modern finance and accounting tools and techniques.
- Experience with varying financial software.
- Fundraising and Investor Relations experience with the ability to oversee fundraising, capital raising, and investor relations.
- Experience in implementing financial controls, risk mitigation strategies, and internal audit processes.
