Trade Compliance Analyst I
Summary :
We are searching for a motivated Trade Compliance Analyst to join our Trade Compliance team. The Trade Compliance Analyst I will be responsible for helping prepare monthly reports, conduct analysis, and support with customs duties and import-export data.
When required support Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification, country of origin assessment, valuation, and other customs issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong academic background in finance or supply chain and a genuine interest in international trade to gain practical experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage various import and export reporting in SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
- Design, develop, and maintain compelling and interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide a clear and concise view of key performance indicators (KPIs) and business trends.
- Support with product classification and country of origin determination.
- Maintain Master Data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and compliance of key data elements such as country of origin and classification.
- Maintain recordkeeping of import / export transactions, utilizing internal systems and databases to manage compliance data effectively.
- Audit Entries and calculate Key Performance Indicators.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or supply chain, or International Business, or related field.
2 years of experience with import and / or export, or customs brokerage activities or financial analysis role or in global supply chain.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas and functions)
Bonus Points For :
- SAP Experience is a plus.
- Experience with import / export compliance software is a plus.
- Experience with US Customs regulations and procedures is a definite advantage.
