WLBT-TV in Jackson, MS is looking for a highly qualified candidate to be the next Local Sales Manager. This person must be highly motivated to lead a team of 7 sales people in the highly dynamic world of broadcast and digital sales.
The candidate must have a proven track record of growing market share, building successful client partnerships, coaching and training a local team and staying relevant in the ever changing world of broadcast and digital sales.
The ideal candidate is goal oriented, driven and able to motivate the local sales team to achieve their individual sales goals.
Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, communicate across departments, ensure projects and campaigns are executed as proposed and sold, extremely organized with great time management skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following :
- Candidate must possess strong leadership, motivational and sales skills along with a proven track record of success
- Manage a team of Account Executives and Sales Coordinators that is focused on Local Direct, non-transactional business, and new business development
- Exceptional skills in recruiting, coaching, and training sellers
- Achieving digital and broadcast sales objectives, building relationships, communicating clearly and the ability to forecast, manage budgets, and execute a strategic plan is critical
- Ability to manage multiple projects, extremely organized, and great time management

Qualifications / Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience in broadcast sales
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a sales team, strategic planning, and a track record of growing revenue
Wide Orbit, Wide Orbit Media Sales, Matrix, Comscore, Excel or similar traffic, sales and CRM experience
