The Role \n

The Engineer II – OSP performs applied research, development, and design of underground OSP conduit infrastructure and fiber optic cabling.

The Main Responsibilities \n

• Manage and coordinate OSP fiber projects from design through As-Built delivery

Work includes design, permitting, and field decisions applicable to OSP construction projects

Perform GNSS / GPS survey work,  for creation of OSP construction drawings, and As-Builts.

Communicate verbally with construction subcontractors and inspectors regarding proper procedures for placement outside cable plant

Interface with OSP installers, locators, project managers, inspectors, and permit authorities to complete comprehensive packages with sufficient detail to allow future use in maintenance and new construction activities

Read complex roadway plans and construction drawings

BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience (five years construction engineering or similar discipline)

What We Look For in a Candidate \n

Education and Experience :

Position requires minimum two years of underground utility construction engineering layout and follow through experience

BS in Engineering or equivalent work experience (five years construction engineering or similar discipline)

Security Requirements :

US Citizenship required

Active TS / SCI or must maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information (applicants selected will be subject to a government security re-investigation

Other Requirements :

Must have a valid driver’s license have a clean driving record

Compensation \n

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$73,013 - $121,688 in these states : VA
