Siemens Industry is looking for a Training Specialist for their Pomona, CA manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for working on specific training initiatives for the Product lines employees and support functions by analysing training needs, designing and developing content, and leading in person training classes.

This position reports to the Quality Manager and will have no direct reports.

We are looking for Training Specialist. This position will be based at Pomona California.

Role Description

  • Deploy Training initiatives partnering with the Management team of different areas
  • Analyzes and assesses training and development needs
  • Execute training plans and curriculum that align with the department and individual business objectives
  • Designs, develops, evaluates, and updates training content, materials, manuals, tests, and related training aids to ensure optimum effectiveness
  • Maximize the training methods and tools based on assessment and / or specified training needs including individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, meetings, eLearning, workshops, refreshers, in person, virtual, and / or self-study.
  • Manages administrative functions necessary to deliver, document, and track training programs. This includes scheduling, employee notification, and arranging for facility set-up.
  • Prepares and reports on training delivery and curriculum effectiveness

Basic Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in training and development in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with all levels in the organization
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Proficient computer skills including Outlook and MS Office (e.g. O365, Sharepoint, Forms, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • Working knowledge of and experience with learning management systems
  • Experience creating e-learning content
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma High Level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of work accurately
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently as well as on teams
