The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks a Philanthropy Engagement and Special Events Administrator in the Stewardship and Donor Relations Department within the Philanthropy division.
This position is the liaison for the Museum's Affiliate Groups. responsible for supporting their day-to-day operations and key philanthropic projects.
This position also serves as a crucial support staff member for stewardship events and their administrative needs.
Requirements and Key Competencies
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four year-college or university in business, art history, art / design, marketing / communication, or non-profit management preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, etc. Experience working with InDesign is helpful.
- Effective and accurate verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Ability to write reports and correspondence and speak effectively with member and donors.
- Flexible and solutions oriented with ability to maintain composure and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to have a flexible schedule for some nights and weekends to support events as needed.
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison for museum's affiliate groups.
- Coordinate group's annual renewals; programs; philanthropic drives; special events; rosters; member orientation; and other support as needed.
- Organize group board and committee meetings
- Administrative support to Philanthropy Engagement and Special Events Manager, which includes processing invoices
- As needed, receive guests at philanthropy events and assist in managing hospitality and event logistics
