Technical Writer / Technical Support Specialist
Responsibilities :
- Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for both technical and non-technical users.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including manuals, how-to guides, and FAQs.
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
- Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to understand product details and requirements.
- Translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
- Revise and update existing documentation as product features evolve.
- Write training manuals and FAQs for end-users.
Qualifications :
- Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation and as a technical support specialist or similar role.
- Ability to deliver high-quality documentation with attention to detail.
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
- Excellent written and communication skills in English.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat.
- Basic familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
- Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications in technical writing, IT support, or related areas are a plus.
Previous Experience :
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical writing and / or technical support roles.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality documentation and provide effective technical support.
- Hands-on experience with various software and hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience in creating user manuals, guides, and FAQs for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and documentation tools.
