Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) is a community-based nonprofit organization serving Pennsylvania and Delaware with over four decades of commitment to improving maternal and child health and early care and education.
MCC’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of pregnant women and parenting families and enhance school readiness for children 0 3.

Position Summary
Responsible for coordination of all aspects of the program including program development, implementation, and monitoring.
Provide direct supervision to program staff providing case management / care coordination and group health / parenting education.

Essential Tasks
- Responsible for administrative oversight of all case management / care coordination and group health / parenting education services and staff.
- Responsible for administrative oversight of collaboration and activities between the Healthy Start and Parenting Education Programs to meet group health / parenting education goals.
- Assists in creating a health education and parenting group plans for each fiscal year ensuring implementation compliance with all parenting education services contracts, as required by funders.
- Responsible for weekly staff schedule and oversight of client incentives, program donations, and group activities for clients.
- Develops and maintains systems for tracking services to clients receiving case management and group health / parenting education services.
- Oversees and monitors efforts to meet program deliverables and performance measures.
- Prepares monthly statistics and program reports; completes reports to funders and contractors.
- Serves as a liaison and communicates with community resources regarding the program.
- Attends program implementation meetings with other Program Managers, Directors, and partners with the Senior Director of Programs.
- Facilitates group educational activities to support HS Group Health / Parenting Education services, as assigned.
- Coordinates community meetings and represents MCC as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of position expectations.
Management Duties
- Recruits, hires, and supervises staff, and attends job fairs.
- Facilitates regular staff meetings and conducts individual supervisory meetings.
- Prepares performance evaluations with input from staff.
- Identifies staff training needs and writes yearly training plans.
- Strengthens own and staff’s skills through personal and professional development
- Monitors and ensures advocates facilitate health and parenting education utilizing program curriculums.
- Works in collaboration with the MCC Evaluation team to ensure data entry as mandated.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of MCC’s mission, goals, and objectives and ability to work independently with a high level of energy and contribute as part of a larger team.
- Knowledge of the concepts and practices associated with community health issues, particularly with pregnant women, prenatal care, child development, parenting and other services for mothers, young children, and their families.
- Ability to travel in and around the Greater Philadelphia region to provide services as needed.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the issues facing the community served; knowledge of community resources
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Good record keeping and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (including data entry and management, word processing, use of the Internet)
Experience, Education, and Licensure
- Master’s degree in social work, or a related field
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated clinical skills
- Experience in program planning and monitoring
- 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
