Our client, a global manufacturer, is seeking an IT Director of Infrastructure responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of their IT infrastructure.

This role requires a strategic leader who can effectively manage a diverse team, optimize infrastructure performance, ensure scalability, and uphold security standards across all regions of operation.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, strong leadership and management skills, and a proven track record of leading innovation in a global enterprise environment

Principle Responsibilities :

• Infrastructure Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive global infrastructure strategy aligned with company's objectives and growth plans.
• Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a geographically dispersed team of infrastructure professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and professional development.
• Infrastructure Design and Implementation : Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of scalable and resilient distributed and data center infrastructure solutions to support company's evolving needs.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management : Drive the adoption and management of cloud infrastructure services, ensuring optimal performance, cost efficiency, and security.
• Network Architecture : Lead the design and standards for a robust network architecture to facilitate seamless connectivity across all locations, including data centers and sites, and data and voice.
• Telephony Architecture : Lead the design and maintenance of telephony, voice architecture and telephony systems.
• Security and Compliance : Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard the organization's infrastructure and data assets.
• Vendor Management : Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate, select, negotiate, and manage infrastructure technologies and services while fostering partnership and vendor accountability.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity : Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions.
• Budgeting and Cost Management : Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor infrastructure performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

Lead initiatives to enhance business processes and utilization of tools that simplify the work and improve efficiency. Share best practices and influence change with other business leaders.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep expertise in infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, WAN, LAN, and SDWAN networking, virtualization, cloud services, and telephony.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale infrastructure programs and initiatives in a global enterprise environment.
• Experience leading the design, architecture, and implementation of solutions.
• Experience leading infrastructure in a hybrid outsourced model (Azure).
• Experience leading infrastructure in a distributed global organization with employees located at several sites in different geographic regions.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security best practices, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record of identifying, securing funding for and remediating technical debt through refresh and upgrade programs in pursuit of improved reliability and security risk mitigation.
