POSITION SUMMARY : Under the supervision of Program Management, utilizing a shared experience, is responsible for facilitating, scheduling, and organizing all services relating to Recovery Support Training (RST) and higher learning goal achievement planning to meet the needs of the adult population composed of SMI, dual diagnosed, and / or referred persons.
Responsible for ensuring all services are provided consistently with REN’s philosophy and values; performs related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures member engagement is conducted on a regular ongoing basis, meeting service delivery requirements for productivity and quality, is responsible for the facilitation of regular and ongoing classes and other educational initiatives.
- Provides support, guidance, and encouragemen t to members participating in learning activities. May support members in other departments as required.
- Manages the RST data to ensure all requirements are met and retained by REN
- Submits requested data to AHCCCS in within a specified time frame
- Documents progress of each member served and submits billing timely utilizing the REN software program, meeting data validation expectations.
- Maintains the minimum standard of 65% of worked hours in delivering services (do we still requires this)
- Provides current and relevant information about advocacy, rights, and services as approved by program management
- Collects information for evaluation and research purposes.
- Monitors practicum participants and provides feedback to RST Manager, Leadership and Recovery Coaches.
- Attends community meetings and works in partnership with program management to enhance programs, promote services, and increase membership.
- Maintains records to include required tracking and reporting.
- Maintains positive relationships with clinic staff and leadership, ensuring continual flow of referrals through prompt responses.
- Meets program management directives and objectives through department strategic planning and input.
- Participates in staff meetings, trainings, all-staff meetings, and other activities as required.
- Submits timely and accurate timecards, mileage, and reimbursement requests.
- Completes administrative tasks which may include preparing documents, book making , copying, faxing, and making / receiving REN-related telephone calls.
- Demonstrates ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and worldview .
- Effectively establishes boundaries and maintains an appropriate, professional work environment with REN members and staff.
- Acts as a role model for the served population by modeling REN’s philosophy, vision, and values.
- Ensures flexibility with schedule and willingness to accept assignments with little or no previous notice
- Prioritizes personal schedule to adapt to the training needs. RST Training is a 6 week schedule and outside coverage for this program is nonexistent / limited
- Perform related duties as required, including travel to other REN locations or offsite activities and programs to deliver services.
- May be required to provide transportation to members on an as-needed basis.
- Adheres to the schedule of work hours, including punctuality from breaks and lunch.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of the principles of behavioral health recovery and adherence to REN’s philosophy.
- Knowledge of the principles of cultural competency and adherence to its philosophy.
- Knowledge of SMI diagnoses and behavioral health service delivery system policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of state behavioral health individual and agency licensure regulations and requirements.
- Knowledge of state and local behavioral health resources.
- Knowledge of the Peer Recovery Movement
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Ability to work effectively with others and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to work under pressure and address events / crises that may develop unexpectedly.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office experience and ability.
- Type 40-50 wpm
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle, including both cargo and large passenger vans and other vehicles.
- Ability to apply critical thinking, and sound judgment in an ever-changing environment with multiple and competing priorities .
- Ability to work in a constant learning training environment willingness to understand the fast paced nature of the RST program
EDUCATION / LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A High School Diploma / GED and / or AA Degree
- Completion of Peer Support Training and Peer Support Credentialing
- 2 3 years of previous service delivery work experience in the behavioral health field.
- Previous co-facilitation experience preferred not required
- A current Arizona Driver's License and a current satisfactory 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must be 21 years of age.
- CPR and First Aid Certifications
- Evidence of freedom from infectious pulmonary tuberculosis
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS
- Standard office environment and mobility to travel between various organizational worksites and / or external meetings.
- Some assignments require the ability to operate a motor vehicle and transport passengers.
- Ability to lift 15 20 pounds.
- The ability to stand, sit or walk are a period.
- Ability to communicate effectively by phone, and in person at normal volumes.
- Ability to adequately read correspondence, computer screens, forms, etc.
- Position requires good manual dexterity.
