Spring 2025 ELC X Farmingdale Applied Learning Program
Description
Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) and Farmingdale State College partnered together to create an Applied Learning Program to provide STEM students with real-life work experience in our Research and Development (R&D) function.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW : This four-month-long Applied Learning Program allows you to explore a career and gain paid work experience while earning your college degree.
During this program, you'll be a part-time ELC employee. You'll have a manager who will provide training, projects, and guidance.
You might have a project of your own, or you might contribute to a number of larger projects.
Below is a list of the seven opportunities available.
- Lab Technician, Microbiology located on campus at the Bioscience Building
- Lab Technician, Business Continuity Lab
- Lab Technician, Special Analytical Services
- Lab Technician, Product Formulation Makeup
- Intern, Global Regulatory Affairs
- Lab Technician, Package Testing
- Lab Technician, Manufacturing Engineering
DURATION OF INTERNSHIPS :
- Monday, January 27 Friday, May 9, 2025
- Flexible hours
- Part-time opportunity (will not exceed 20hrs per week)

Qualifications
ELIGIBILITY :
- Undergraduate students must be currently enrolled as Junior or Senior at the start of the program
- Must have lab experience
- Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other related software programs.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $16.00 to $25.50. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.
Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
