AECOM , the #1 ENR-ranked firm in Water is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as a Vice President Division Manager in Southern California (Orange) or Colorado (Denver).
Reporting to the West Water Regional Business Line Leader, this role is pivotal in driving the strategic vision for the business while upholding our core values of "People, Clients, Protect the Business."
The selected candidate will be responsible for the leadership of our major water / wastewater conveyance division covering 11 Western states (California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming) to support the delivery of large-scale municipal water and / or wastewater projects.
Working closely with the lead Project Manager, you will contribute to the successful execution of these complex municipal projects, ensuring that all aspects are effectively coordinated and managed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Oversee the successful execution of a portfolio of water and wastewater projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage client satisfaction and relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Build and lead a functional team of operations and growth leaders to drive project delivery and business growth.
- Deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions that make a significant impact in the field of water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Meet / exceed Net Service Revenues (NSR), Gross Margin (GM) for the Division.
- Meet / Exceed wins and bookings for the Division.
- Develop and communicate SWOT for the Division in an open way.
- Meet or exceed hiring targets.
- Meet or exceed Enterprise Capabilities and Workshare goals.
- Adopt ESG and Digital initiatives.
- Manage safety, training and career development KPIs.
- Support our people to thrive and grow in their preferred career paths (PD, SME, BD, and Operations).
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Civil / Environmental Engineering and 12 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education, including 4 years of leadership.
- Registered Professional Engineer in one of the 10 states or ability to obtain same within 6 months.
- Proven experience in water and wastewater project management.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Civil / Environmental Engineering 20+ years of experience in leadership and / or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
- MS or other advanced degree in Civil / Environmental engineering preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success in client relationship management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
