Special Education Administrator
We are hiring dedicated, energetic Special Education Administrator with a passion for making a positive difference for 1st - 12th-grade students who haven’t had success in traditional classroom settings.
Our customized one-teacher-to-one-student approach provides an opportunity to meet each student’s learning style within an accredited curricula program making a real difference one student, one class at a time.
Students attend Brightmont Academy campuses for multiple reasons including; social and learning challenges with learning disabilities, attention deficits, emotional issues, health concerns or other individual special needs.
Our students look to our instructors for better learning strategies needed for school and career success.
Our instructors are trained to teach with a gradual release approach that allows them to meet students where they are and gently lead students to their fullest potential.
Our philosophy is an approach that balances students' academic, social, and life skills goals while keeping them on track to graduation.
Essential Instructor responsibilities :
Case management duties include reviewing IEP paperwork, quarterly goal updates, and participating in IEP meetings.
The Special Education Administrator will be held accountable for the following responsibilities :
- Facilitate the provision of special education services to students that are placed with Brightmont from a district.
- Understands and support teachers on effective instructional strategies for students with disabilities
- Assist in monitoring special education programs and related services to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and local district policies and procedures
- Analyze data to establish appropriate goals and objectives in context of improving academic achievement and social-emotional growth
- Promote use of research-based interventions, strategies, and instruction
- Facilitate special education students’ progress reviews with a focus on data monitoring of student achievement and continuous improvement
- Manage and complete any reporting requirements as needed by the district or ISBE for each student.
- Monitor, evaluate, and ensure the implementation of Individual Education Programs and inclusive practices
- Collaborate with Campus Directors and District Representatives to assess and analyze the needs of individual
- Consistently maintain quality interactions with teachers, students, parents, and the larger community
- Maintain and protect the rights and confidentiality of others
- Perform additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Physical presence on the campus and / or corporate office is required as it is part of the essential function of the job.
The particular job duties of this position may change based upon the needs of Brightmont Academy. Additional administrative duties may be assigned at the discretion of the supervisor.
