Balance Autism is looking to add an Assistant Clinic Supervisor to our team in Clive! This leader assists Clinic Supervisors in admitting new children;
leads parent education and child specific team meetings; and monitors and develops programming for children on a shared caseload with an overseeing Clinic Supervisor.
These duties are performed personally and alongside the correlating staff for the person served.
Essential Duties :
1. Ensure that the health and safety needs of the person(s) served are met.
2. Develop and maintain a positive relationship with individual(s) served and co-workers to promote and deliver successful outcomes for children with Autism.
3. Assist with developing, and monitoring all personalized programs, autism specific strategies and innovative solutions in order to generate successful outcomes.
4. Focus every day on supporting people with autism as they gain higher levels of independence, including skills related to hygiene, personal care, building social relationships and networks, communication, and community involvement as needed.
5. Reviews and collaborates with allied professionals to develop and implement successful treatment plans.
Additional Responsibilities include the following :
- Monitor and develop programs for children on a shared caseload, under the guidance of a Clinic Supervisor.
- Assist in designing / creating goals objectives for the person served.
- Coordinate and assist in the development of programming materials
- Provide staff supervision, constructive feedback and ongoing coaching to ABA Specialists.
- Assists Clinic Supervisors in the Children’s Autism Project admissions process.
- Lead parent training and child specific team meetings, maintaining all documentation required including (and not limited to) staff supervision, log books and progress notes.
- Communicate professionally with legal representatives, families, and allied professionals to foster excellent relationships leading to additional reach and growth of Balance Autism.
- Attend and successfully complete all training sessions to generate constant learning and continuous improvements.
- Assists with welcoming, mentoring, and training staff according to Balance Autism policies.
- Assists in ensuring files are compliant with payer and credentialing rules and regulations.
- Assists with obtaining necessary authorizations and consents from family or legal guardian and keep authorizations updated as needed.
- Serve as a contact for family / guardians and outside agency communications, providing follow-up to concerns in a timely manner and keep ongoing records of all such contacts.
- Fill in shifts approximately 50% of the work schedule in clinic.
