Health, Boston University

Boston University is an Association of American Universities institution with a rich tradition of inclusion and social justice.

Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) is a top-10 public health school that engages in world-renowned research, public health practice, and transformative master's and doctoral-level education in public health along with post-doctoral training.

With over 300 faculty in six departments, BUSPH has the mission of improving the health and well-being of populations worldwide, particularly the underserved, through excellence and innovation in education, research, and practice.

The Department of Environmental Health at BUSPH conducts policy-relevant research, often working closely with affected communities, to help address environmental challenges.

Academically, our students prepare to meet the challenges of environmental health through a solid grounding in epidemiology, exposure science, toxicology, risk assessment and related fields, as well as training in legal and economic topics relevant to environmental and public health.

We train the next generation of environmental health professionals, including through engagement in the MPH and MS programs, the PhD in Environmental Health and the crosscampus URBAN PhD program, and professional development opportunities such as the Local Public Health Institute of Massachusetts and the New England Public Health Training Center.

For students taking courses in toxicology, this course aims to provide the tools required for them to analyze the exposure-disease continuum for any environmental toxicant.

SPH EH 872 Environmental Data and Exposure Modeling. In this course, students develop skills in estimation of exposure using publicly available data and models.
