The Guest Data Analyst is responsible for unlocking and optimizing guest and transactional data, partnering with Marketing, Digital, and Cross-functional leaders to understand business objectives and develop enhanced understanding of guest behavior, marketing channel effectiveness, and general business trends that fuel actionable recommendations to drive results.
The Guest Data Analyst will partner with IT and the Director of Guest Analytics & Insights to develop insights from the loyalty customer database, mining data to deliver reporting and recommendations that drive go-to-market strategy and enhance personalization at scale across marketing channels.
This role is responsible for working with channel leads to integrate insights and inform a holistic marketing contact strategy to drive engagement, loyalty, and customer lifetime value.
The role will be responsible for developing reporting & dashboarding capabilities to drive automated self-service reporting tools, executive reporting and presentations, and weekly discussions to share business insights and optimization opportunities.
The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about data-driven marketing and possesses a balance of business acumen and technical expertise.
In this role, success is measured based on ability to understand and interpret business objectives, developing reporting, insights, and tools that deliver on objectives and drive business performance.
The role requires strong technical database skills, and a highly developed set of analytical and marketing skills that will translate to revenue growth and team development.

Your Day in the Life
- Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of Noodles & Company data sources, including operational databases and data flows with external partners.
- Develop KPI's and metrics used in daily, weekly, and monthly performance management.
- Translate business objectives into testable hypotheses.
- Partner with IT to develop insights from Loyalty guest database, leveraging customer data to deliver insights & actionable recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with marketing, digital, and research to design, influence, execute, measure and improve marketing initiatives across marketing channels.
- Use scientific methods to establish causal relationships between marketing actions and consumer behavior, sentiment, and overall business performance.
- Produce presentations, charts, and executive summaries that clearly communicate findings to marketing leads, cross-functional partners, and executives.
- Develop compelling narratives that connect data analysis with business problems.
- Develop automated dashboarding to provide reliable self-service tools and insights regarding guest behavior and channel performance.
- Analyze A / B or Multivariate Tests to provide measurable insights on test data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a cohesive and actionable guest segmentation strategy rooted in unified view of guest data.
What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Marketing, Finance, Mathematics, or IT Preferred; or credentials in field of analytics
- 3+ years of experience working with marketing database solutions with focus on multi-channel marketing and one-to-one communication (CRM) approaches preferred
- 3+ years of experience working with customer and / or transactional data and relational databases
- Ability to understand business objectives and requirements, organize and interpret results, and deliver insights with recommendations in the Marketing environment
- Strong experience with query and analyses tools including SQL, Python, R, SPSS, and Power BI
- Strong project management skills
